The asana helps us strengthen the back, core abs, knees, hips, arms, and shoulders. It opens up the entire spine by removing blockages and making the body more flexible. It constantly expands and contracts neck muscles making it more flexible too. This pose can be highly helpful during menstruation in easing the pain.
