THINGS YOU MUST DO AFTER PLAYING HOLI

Holi is a festival of colours and joy, but the colours used during the celebration can sometimes harm your skin. Therefore, after playing Holi it is important to take care of your skin and hair as they can get damaged due to the celebrations. Here are some things you must do after playing Holi:

  1. Rinse off the colours from your skin:  Use lukewarm water and a gentle soap or shower gel to remove the colours from your skin. Do not rub your skin vigorously, as this can cause irritation and further damage. If you have any cuts or wounds, be extra careful while cleaning those areas.

  2. Wash your hair: Use a mild shampoo to wash your hair and remove the colours. Avoid using hot water as it can strip your hair of its natural oils and cause dryness. Apply a good conditioner to keep your hair moisturized.

  3. Moisturize your skin: After cleansing, apply a good moisturizer to your skin to keep it hydrated. You can also use coconut oil or aloe vera gel to soothe any irritation or redness.

  4. Drink plenty of water: Drinking plenty of water will help to flush out the toxins from your body and keep you hydrated. You can also drink coconut water or lemonade to replenish your body's electrolytes.

  5. Use mild soap: After playing with colours, use mild soap to wash off the stains from your skin. Avoid using hot water as it can dry out your skin.

  6. Apply oil or lotion: Before playing with colours, apply oil or lotion all over your body. This will create a barrier between your skin and the colour, making it easier to wash off.

  7. Wear clothes that cover your skin: Wearing long-sleeved shirts and pants can help protect your skin from direct contact with the colours.

  8. Use organic colours: Organic colours from natural ingredients are less harmful to your skin than synthetic colours. So, try to use organic colours whenever possible.

  9. Avoid water-based colours: Water-based colours can penetrate your skin more quickly and are harder to remove. So, it's best to avoid them.

  10. Rest and relax: After a day of playing Holi, it's important to give your body some rest and relaxation. Take a warm bath, listen to some soothing music, or do some gentle stretching exercises to help your body recover.

By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your skin and hair stay happy and healthy and can enjoy the festival safely.
